1997-2011. Nicola Henley started and continues to run the 'Visual Arts Programme' and associated 'Schools Programme' of the Iniscealtra Festival of Arts, Mountshannon, Co. Clare. Working in conjunction with The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) she curates an annual exhibition, from 'The Collection' at IMMA for the festival which runs at the end of May. The exhibition is the basis for the 'Schools Programme' where children are invited from local National Schools to view the work on loan and take part in workshops in different media such as drawing, painting, collage, work in clay, screen-printing, tie- dye, batik, paper-making and felt making. Nicola runs the workshops with other artists and the children then exhibit their own work during the festival week.

Nicola also works widely doing Artists Residencies/Placements throughout Co. Clare National Schools as a part of the 'Clare Artist's in Schools Scheme'. This scheme is run by The Arts Officer for Clare, Siobhan Mulcahy, Clare Library, Ennis, Co. Clare. http://www.clarelibrary.ie

Nicola Henley is a member of the Artist's panel at The Irish Museum of Modern Art and through this scheme has run workshops for National School children at IMMA and has worked with children in Limerick Regional Hospital's Paediatric ward. This work has been supported by The National Programme at IMMA.
